So, maybe having a bird choose to launch its runny poo at me, from all animate (and let’s just add the inanimate) objects, does not seem like the usual good luck charm regardless of all the tales linked to it. The ocean makes everything better
I tend to have this unusual affiliation with the ocean which many may claim to have. It’s not the type of affiliation where I yearn to be floating in the ocean or socialising by the sea. After conversing about his experiences and travel adventures, the customer at work went on to ask where I was from?
Me: I’m Lebanese.
Him: Oh, Beirut?
Me: No, I’m from the South but I lived in Beirut at one point.
Him: Oh, the south, the south. *thinks* Near the Israeli border, right?
Me: *sigh* No sir, near the *Palestinian* (extra super emphasis on ‘Palestinian’)...

Nausea
Gone are the days of ever wanting to be a surgeon. What was I thinking? The hospital is a dreary place and I am praying to God it won’t have to drag me in with open arms again (especially as a visitor). Well, not soon anyway.
