However, I think I may have just been subconsciously lured into the trap of believing this ‘bird-poo tale’. It’s safe to say that today has been a rather good day...

Oh god. This will be me in 2 weeks time.
statehate: I’m supposed to be doing my Crim Law reading right now. Instead I’m blogging and listening to Drake. My life would be so much easier if I had been born a trust fund baby.

The ocean makes everything better
I tend to have this unusual affiliation with the ocean which many may claim to have. It’s not the type of affiliation where I yearn to be floating in the ocean or socialising by the sea. But there is just a feeling of reassurance I feel by merely staring at the the waves as they hit the shore, at times pleasantly and at other times, somewhat angrily. I guess it’s just knowing that...

Common misunderstanding
After conversing about his experiences and travel adventures, the customer at work went on to ask where I was from? Me: I’m Lebanese. Him: Oh, Beirut? Me: No, I’m from the South but I lived in Beirut at one point. Him: Oh, the south, the south. *thinks* Near the Israeli border, right? Me: *sigh* No sir, near the *Palestinian* (extra super emphasis on ‘Palestinian’)...

Nausea
Gone are the days of ever wanting to be a surgeon. What was I thinking? The hospital is a dreary place and I am praying to God it won’t have to drag me in with open arms again (especially as a visitor). Well, not soon anyway. Allah yeshfi all those who are ill.

another UN resolution violated
It was reported this morning that Israeli jet-planes hovered over Beirut, Bent Jbeil and other cities in Southern Lebanon. Which other country permits its jet planes to hover over another’s land? Where the hell is state sovereignty and land rights in all this? Oh wait, it’s Israel we’re talking about. Land dispossession and breaking of UN resolutions and human rights is their...
